I'm an rpi user and at boot I get the message "failed to load kernel modules", however the system seems to work just fine. Using stretch.

I'm an rpi3 user using stretch. At boot I get the message "failed to load kernel modules". I recently downloaded and installed buster with a different micro sd card and got the same message. Everything seems to work fine, although, I'd like to figure out how to address the failed to load kernel module message. Any thoughts? I have tried the following with no success...
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

Try dmesg, or look in /var/log/messages to find out what modules is failing. Most likely some extra drive for a device you do not have to it fails to load.
