I've converted..bye bye Microsoft..but now I need to print to a windows server!

Finally, after much apprehension, I've taken the jump and converted to LInux...Suse 9 to be exact.

I am not very competant on Linux yet, although i know my way around. Here is my issue, I am the only Linux machine on a windows network. I need to connect to the printer (HP laserjet 2200) so that i can do my work and stop my boss from telling me that i better convert back to microsoft so as not to lose any more productivity time. I refuse to go back...so please help.

The instal was done yesterday and its a standard install...please advise.

Thanks
Gnu!

You can use CUPS.. which is included in most linux distributions.
CUPS gives you simple configuration using your webbrowser as the interface, it starts a small HTTP server on port 631.. so you can reach it at http://localhost:631/ .. then you can add a network printer using many protocols.

Thanks Rob,

Since posting i have ascertained that CUPS is already running...I'm logged on as Root but when trying to use admin features in CUPS, i get asked for a password...i've entered the root username and password...but get bounced each time.
