I'm trying to install Zhumu conferencing software for Ubuntu

I saw Pedorski posting a thread about the same issue and resolving it. But I don't understand what exactly he is talking about.
I was sent a link to download Zhumu (https://zhumu.com/download). When I click in it I get an option of downloading Zhumu for Ubuntu Kylin (I have Linux Mint). When I download any of the two offered additions I get the message:"There is no application installed for Partially downloaded file files.
Do you want to search for an application to open this file?"

Can someone tell me what am I doing wrong, please???
And most importantly how to download Zhumu? )))

Thanks beforehand.

It appears that you are not downloading the entire file, only getting a partial download. I have no idea why that is, because there are many possible reasons. I've never heard of Zhumu so I can't help much with that, but you should try downloading again, and don't cut it off early, make sure the download is finished before you try to access the file.

Thank you for your reply but I need more guidance. Would you know what Pedorski meant by his comment,

"what I did was:
Quote:
sudo dpkg --unpack /home/pedro/Downloads/zhumu_2.5.361956.0302_amd64.deb"

Like where would I look for typing it in or pasting? What could that mean?

Thanks beforehand,

That would be typed into a terminal emulator. But it won't work on a partially downloaded file. The file you download should have a .deb extension. Again, do not try to do anything with the file until you're certain that the download is complete. The filename should be something like the above - zhumu_2.5.361956.0302_amd64.deb. I don't know the size, but it could take some time to complete the download, depending on its size and the speed of your internet connection. Once complete, Mint should open and install it.
