I'm having trouble creating users

Im a newbie to Linux, so I hope all you peoples don't laugh at me. lol
Anyways, Im running redhat 9.0 and I successfully added a new user manually, but I can't get the damned useradd command to work. I type useradd joeblow, and i get this: Bash: useradd: command cannot be found. oh and I am in su.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are you logged as superuser(root)...? Try "/sbin/adduser".

log in as root

you might want to try adduser instead of useradd

i am logged in as root.. neither worked..

try and look in /usr/sbin/

As root run updatedb wait wait wait till its done.

Then run locate useradd

If it doesn't show then it is not on your system.

The worst thing you can do is to laugh at someone how is trying to learn GNU/Linux. (unless they post what they have done under a "worst computer stupidei site" it means that the person gets a bad fealing, and dont like GNU/Linux.

as for your problem try
whereis adduser
whereis useradd
