hsp56 modem installation on fc2
 

i am not so familiar with the linux terminal commands and so i couldnt install my modem i have a driver for linux kernel 2.4 is that enough?
i want some one who can help me in installing the modem any help from anyone is welcome at kshatriyarules@rediffmail.com waiting for some one to help me out of this problem bye........

Well, fedora core 2 runs on the 2.6 kernel adn there's no way you can install a 2.4 kernel driver on it.You need to get the 2.6 kernel driver for HSP56.And I don't think there's one available.
Anyway, internal modems are not supported by the kernel.So you'll only be left with partial control over the modem,if you amanage to get it installed.

so can't i install my modem any way on my box i just need to get it installed as i need to surf the web very often and i dont have windows on my system
