Howto setup an e-mail server

I am running a web site using Mandrake 9.1 and Apache. I would like to add an e-mail server. How do I setup the mail server and what ports do I open for my firewall.

Thanks, Eric

smtp-port (25), maybe auth(113). Exim is one mailserver that is relatively easy to setup.

also port 110 for pop3 or port 143 for imap, select which one you like to use. I will suggested to use postfix, it is really easy to setup
