Good Day all,
I'm back in business (I posted that I had problems with getting Debian Sarge up and running, so I just went out bought a Linux mag with the CD on the front and then it managed to work itself through the network itself using a network cable and DHCP).
I am now running Debian Sarge on my laptop and I have a couple of questions.
1. My display only runs up to 800x600

how do I increase the resolution as the options in KDE ect will not allow it.
2. How do I get more printer drivers (I have a Hp Officejet 4215 all-in-one printer-scanner-fax thing) and get my printer working.
3. How do I get my Buffalo AirStation WLI-CB-G54 wi-fi card to work (plus the wireless network is encrypted...)
4. I think this is the most important question I have. I have a 10 GB HDD, I REALLY want to strip down Debian, I am not how to do this. I need my box for office applications (openoffice) graphics (gimp) Internet (mozilla-firefox), orginizer (something like outlook any ideas?), firewall (?), music and video streaming (?). I would like to strip the system so I have only XFCE4 (which is installed) (no more KDE or Gnome) is this a good idea? especially when thinking about dependancies.
So thats alot, I am really interested in getting rid of things like Kgames and applications that I cannot forsee using at all, but I just don't know how.
Thanks for being patient with me,
Stimz
