How Update kernel with NFS Boot

I would like to NFS boot my PC104, system, do I have to update the Kernel on the PC104, with NFS boot option, if so how to do it, for your information, I am using 2.4.27 kernel. Are there any memory requirements, to have if the target is being booted with NFS Boot.

Thanks In Advance.

I'm not quite sure that the term NFS-boot is valid. Maybe you're after this?
