How type "~" and other special signs with linux?
How type "~" (without "copy & paste" like this time) and other special signs with linux?
with DOS, Windows you shold press Alt Gr and a number combination.... but this doesn't work with linux... so, someone can help me? Thanks |

for example the sign "~" there isn't on my keyboard....... I'm not from U.S. so my keyboard differs from standard U.S. keyboards I think
btw should be possible write these signs, but I don't know how |
maybe there's a way to map a certain key on your keyboard to that symbol? What Window Manager are you using?

I have the same question as Xavius.
I have a US kbd so `, ~ are no problem, but I would like to know how to do alt-keypad characters such as é, â (alt-130, alt-131, I'm using my 'doze box for this). |
