Thumbs up How to make outlook to retrive mail through squid (using postrouting in iptables)

hi friends,

i had a problem in retriving mail through Squid using mailserver is outside the intranet.I need to make the clients to access that mail server through proxy. can anyone help me. just gave me idea how to put iptables(postrouting) to my requirement.

You should not proxy email protocols especially smtp, since your smtp connection can be hijacked that way. Squid is built to proxy port http and ftp. You should open the required ports so that those computers can connect directly to the Email server through NAT or better yet, use webmail, which is more secure and easier to administer.
