What is your environment? Are you trying to do this in BASH or C / C++?

Generally you can escape the

" character

where " is a significant / control character by putting a slash in front of it?

E. g. in PHP you can escape " by writing \" e. g. to print, literally, the word "Test" (quote test quote) to the web browser browsing your PHP page you'd write in the PHP code

Code:
echo "\"Test\"";
Hope this helps?
