How to work on dns server in centos
Hi,
I installed and configure DNS Server on my centos machine.
I have created suresh.com domain name,
I can able to dig to suresh.com, and dig to ipaddress.
no errors found.
My question's are..
1) what is exact DNS Server is in real time.
2) what is the purpose of dns server in centos.
3) how to add clients to this domain.
4) How to work on dns server.
Thanks
Suresh.

what is the purpose of a DNS server??? I have to assume you've not written these at all as you intended, as otherwise that just makes no sense if you don't even know what a DNS server is for...??
The only question I can provide an answer to is 3 - you add entries into the zone file for each IP device you wish to resolve, and reload the domain. If that's what you're actually asking.

I think dns is to resolve name to ipaddress and ipaddress to names.
