How to view Apache files online?

Hi there LQ peeps,

Now I'm done configuring our Apache HTTP Server. Local clients are able to connect/view our web server content via 192.168.1.3. Here's the problem now, how do I make this server visible over the internet? What necessary configuration should i make? Let's say when i visit www.example.com i want to see all of my web files over there. Here's my configuration:

/etc/hosts
127.0.0.1 centos.example.com centos example.com localhost.localdomain localhost
192.168.1.3 centos.example.com centos example.com

/etc/hostname
centos.example.com

httpd/conf/httpd.conf
Listen *80

Firewall - Disabled
SELinux - Disabled

Thanks.:)

Sincerely,
Albie

Do you have a router? You need to forward port 80 from your router to 192.168.1.3. http://portforward.com/

Using port forwarding (80) only supports my public ip. I want a domain. :( Thanks anyway.

You can buy a domain and point it at your public IP.

Or you can use dyndns
