How to use previous /boot partition in new install

Hi, I have a /boot partition and I deleted my root partition. I want to install Ubuntu to use the old /boot partition with a new root partition. How can this be done with the Ubuntu Live CD? (7.04 Fiesty)

What is the point of keeping on the boot partition if you deleted your / partition? I mean, it's totally useless now. You may as well delete the boot partition altogether and create a fresh one. But if you do insist on recycling your boot partition, then you simply tell the installer to use it as the boot partition for your fresh install AND you make sure that it preserves any previous data (providing that you want to do so, of course - if not, it may as well be reformatted).

The typical installer gives you the choice of using existing partitions or making new ones.

Note that a separate partition for /boot is not necessary.
