how to use KPPP
 
I already know that I have to use: ctrl-alt-f1, I log on with : root, but then what should I do next??

KPPP is a KDE-based internet dialer frontend for pppd. There's no way you want to use Ctrl-Alt-F1 since this will take you back into the console. You either need to open a terminal window and type "kppp" or select KPPP from the KDE menu (it may be called "Internet Dialer"). It's pretty easy to use. You set it up, and then every time you run it you just need to click connect.
