How to use GDebi package Installer. It's not listed in Chapter 7 of the Linux Guide

I notice my package installer which is GDebi is not listed with the other package installers there at the Linux Guide http://linuxnewbieguide.org/overview...tall-software/

I typed Synaptic Package Manager and Administration in the top left hand search box but no results came came up.

I'm trying to learn about how to install software on Ubunutu 16.04.1 LTS release: 16.04
Codename: xenial

I tried Youtube but it seems to be mostly about Synaptic Package Manager. Any good links to learn about GDebi Package Installer?
