How to use a partition for a steam library

I remember this issue plagued me when I used mint. How do I use a separate partition(it's an HDD) as a steam library?

I opened Gnome Disks made the ext4 partition from my hard drive, clicked on settings, clicked on 'edit mount options'. 'Mount at system startup' was selected by default. So I restarted my system, gave it a few minutes, then opened steam and it doesn't work. Steam does not see any other partition at all.

Some extra information I have here -

Fedora is installed on the SSD
The Hard Drive I want to use is an HDD where I have partitioned around 600 GB in ext4 format
mount point for HDD - /mnt/83e58ee1-30ea-4093-91cc-005980994c71
I do not have 'require additional authorization to mount'
If I go into files, the drive shows up as mounted

Please help, that HDD will be my major storage for Fedora

Without being able to properly mount the disk it won't really work. You can symlink it from there assuming you have permissions but on a reboot that mount point may change and you'd have to adjust your symlink.

You don't have the required authorization? Does that mean your user account? Or do you not have any root / sudo control at all. If the latter then you really need to get with whoevers machine this is and get the disk mounted in a static location. Then it's as simple as either moving the .steam folder and symlinking or adjusting the library directory in steam itself.

I think I didn't type that out correctly. In the disks application, when you go to edit options there is a option that says, word to word, -'require additional authorization to mount' which from what I understand would add another layer of authorization. I do not have that option enabled. That's what I was trying to say

My account is the 'administrator', if that term applies here with full access and control. I have root and sudo control.

How would I go about getting the disk mounted in a static location?

Nvm, I found the solution. I was just being an idiot. I didn't realize that there was a folder named /mnt where it was being mounted and I tested it out with restarts and the location is static so no issues there. Thanks anyways
