How to Upgrade from Fedora 5 to Fedora 6

Hello friends,

I have been back to this forum after a long time, haven't been dealing with Linux. But, I want to upgrade my Fedora Core 5 to core 6 and wondering what kind of procedure has to be followed. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks

Since you already have fedora core 5 installed, it might be easier to upgrade to core 6. Ubuntu is nice, however, so if you have backed up important stuff elsewhere or have your /home directory on a separate partition, you might want to give Ubuntu a go. When I upgraded from core 2 to core 3 and core 3 to core 4, all I had to do was boot from the installation CD and select upgrade. It always worked fine, just took awhile.
