Question how to upgrade a stock install

I check the board and it had 2 posts about upgrade and problems with drivers but that is not exactly what I wanted. I want to take the ISO 14.2 that I downloaded and installed and apply all the current upgrades to my new Linux box I have not come across it yet although I read some where that it uses slackpkg tool to do this Any help thanks..
