how to update to firefox 0.9.1 from 0.8
 
hello again !

how can i update for firefox 0.8 that i install with (as an add on package ) suse 9.1 to firefox 0.9.1 i download the installer but what i need to do now ??

where should i install the main directory ???
the installer make the folder but where should i install it ?? and all the plugin dos'nt work
whan i try to surf can't i use the plugin the already install for the older ver ?



So how should i install or update the firefox 0.9.1

Which kind of the package is it? If it's a standard installer, you can install it in any place you prefer (/usr/local/firefox may be a good candidate). Then you should move plugins between the installations. Just copy the 'plugins' directory from old installation to /usr/local/firefox/plugins (if you follow my scheme). When you confim that the new version works OK, you may remove the old one.

OK ,

but the problem is that i cant find the old ver plugin folder it's not anther /user/local/firefox

(and I HAVE firefox 0.8 install and working )

Cant find the plugin folder to move to the new installation where i can find it ?

p.s. i cant find any firefox folder at all just same files in /user/bin but not plugin folder

the firefox 0.8 was install with all suse 9.1 installation ...packages.

What does 'which firefox' return? You should get the executable with full path (possibly the one for 0.8). It should be at the same level. You can also try
find / -name plugins 2>/dev/null
(2>/dev/null to get rid of 'permission denied messages).
The list may notbe very short, but the right directory should be mentioned.
