Use rpm -Uvh kernelxxxxxx.rpm. It should create you a new entry on your bootloader.

Howzit

Another way is for u to activate yourself with RHN this is the service that RH supplies for u to upgrade kernels, security patches, bug fixes. Click on the red circle in GUI it will ask u to register your system with RH follow all steps mentioned once this has been done will be able to download all patches and kernels from RH.

Oh remember to download 2 files from https://rhn.redhat.com/index.pxt which are the new up2date certificates. Without this u will not be able to connect to the server and do the above. To install these files use rpm -Uvh up2date-package-version.

The nice thing about this is that u not need worrying in how to install and where to find the new packages as it will do it automatically.
