Question How to uninstall puppy linux from HDD in order to reinstall it.

Hi there.
I am a total newbie to Linux, and I've just downloaded Slacko Puppy onto a usb stick to use on my old netbook.
It seems to run fantastically from the stick, but I am having trouble putting it onto the HDD. I have already had it on there once, but it appears to be locked and I cannot see how to uninstall it, so that I may start fresh. Can anyone help?

If there is no data on the drive that you care about you can just clear the entire hard drive using dd from the usb stick.

if your drive is being detected as /dev/sda for example you can clear it using the below command.
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=1048576 count=200
This will zero out the first 200 megabytes of data on the drive which will clear any encrypted data or partition information.

Are you wanting to do a full hard drive install or a fugal install. What is the partition layout of the netbook and what operation system is already installed on it and do youwant to keep said operating system. Open a terminal from puppy desktop and post the output of
fdisk -l

Thanks exvor and colorpurple21859.
I had wiped the hd already and done a full install of puppy, but it didn't work correctly.
So I wanted to delete and re-install but for some reason it had a padlock on it and would not delete.
However, I managed to find a 'swap' feature by right clicking which got rid of the padlock so I could delete it.
Now I have done a frugal install and it works fine. Thanks for your help.
