how to uninstall a program which has installed using source
 
hiya, i've installed a program using the source code ie ./configure make make install but accidently deleted the source directory... but how would i uninstall the program now... coz as the source directories been deleted cant do "make uninstall"

All you have to do is remove it's files with the rm command.

thats the tricky bit how would i know which files to remove... is there any where that files installed for a program is listed in a file?

re download the source then do a ./configure, make, make uninstall

thanks... so its always best to have the source around...
