How to uninstall a program? (frostwire)

i have linux ubuntu and i installed a couple of programs, Frostwire is one of them. A friend of mine recommended it because he said limewire was not so good, but i think frostwire is pretty bad so i want to uninstall it, i don't know if you can do it from GNOME or using the terminal.

can somebody explain me how to remove it??

Im using linux ubuntu 8.04 by the way, just in case the comand or anything is different from other extensions.

It depends on how it was installed.

aptitude purge frostwire
That should do it.
If not, aptitude remove frostwire or apt-get purge frostwire.
