How to type "box" used in chmod cmd

Hi

just wana know how to type that small box used in chmod command, which is used to remove the permissions .

well

what's the command to remove the following permission

chmod u+x rp8_linux_sparc_cs1.bin

I think you have your language settings wrong. If you're minus signs look like little boxes in the terminal then you may need to reset the LANG environment varibale.
