How to turn off screen through keyboard shortcut or command

Hi ,
I am using openSUSE 10.3.When computer is idle for 5 minutes then screen saver appears & after few minutes the monitor turns off allowing power saving.Is there a coomand or keyboard shortcut to turn off screen at any moment.
