how to stop X server?


Sounds pretty stupid but i dont know how to do it
I tried alt+ctrl+backspace, but all it does is kill it for a few seconds and then it loads up automatically.

init 3

Edit your /etc/inittab and..

Change this line:

id:5:initdefault:

to..

id:3:initdefault:
