how to start mysql after shutdown??
 
i'm using putty remote login in a linux server. and i wa run command" mysql admin -pabc" to shutdown the mysql. And how to start the mysql service again with command??

That depends on the distro. In Slackware (10.x, probably other versions as well), run /etc/rc.d/rc.mysqld start .
