How to sort this problem out.

I bought a new computer and had Redhat Linux 8.1 installed in it.
First few days it was working fine but all of a sudden while booting it is showing a message called
"init not found try passing init-kernel option" and hangs.

I dunno what to do.I hope somebody from this cool place would help me solve this problem out.I want to know what should I do next.Various options how to solve this problem.

Thanks a lot.

you didn't happen to use the update function in Redhat did you? There have been a number of people who have used it and when they updated something such as the kernel it has caused numerous problems.

Possible solution: using a boot disk reboot your machine and reinstall your boot loader (whether its lilo or grub).
