Question How to share the same folder under VFAT using Fedora and Windows?

Hi,
I am using Fedora 3 on the machine which has 2 hard drive. My Linux and Windows reside on the same hard drive (hda). The other hard drive (hdb) is formatted vfat (FAT32) so that both linux and WinXPsp2 can see. The folder PUBLIC on hdb is shares under both Windows xp and Linux(using samba). However whenever i restart my computer from windows to linux or from linux to windows, others computer on my network can not access the folder PUBLIC any more even when they enter correct password. Does anyone encounter this problem before?
*In windows Xp i disable "use simple file sharing" so whenever users want to access my conputer from other machine, they have to enter username and password

well you need to configure samba correctly, and you may still need to use smbpasswd to configure remote user passwords.
