How To setup and use IPSEC client in Fedora Core 8

Hi Folks, I am trying to do setup a VPN connection to a Cisco ASA from a FC8 machine. I have tried to RTFM, it seems to be way over my head. I was hoping someone could help me understand the process for establishing a VPN to my ASA.

What I Am Clear About:
The ASA is set and receiving VPN connections.
The inside network of the ASA is e.g. 10.0.0.0/24 with the ASA giving out DHCP to clients successfully.
I have installed ipsec-tools and racoon

I am also relatively sure that the kernel module is loaded for ipsec

My Objective:
I am trying to use vpnc to connect to x.x.x.x with the PSK of XYZ using 3des. No username or password is needed to connect the VPN just the PSK.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to achieve this process. Does anyone know how I should go about making the vpn?
OJ
