You are using SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10. To install odbc, run the software management tool from YAST (the SUSE control centre), search for odbc and install the packages you need.

I ran YAST but unable to find ODBC driver for oracle. Can anybody please help to get me a clue where it resides in YAST.

thanks & kind regards

Most distros don't include oracle stuff. Google search for "oracle+odbc" and you will find some links on the Oracle website about odbc.
