how to set my startup program execute before KDE loads
I have set KUbuntu to run an executable on startup automatically. But, this happens after KDE actually loads the desktop and it bar. But, I don't want the user to see those things. I want the executable run as soon as the kernel loads KDE.
Hi saman_artorious,
Do you want it systemwide or just for a user? Do you want it before user login (before KDE) or when user is loging in (between KDM and KDE)?

Hello
I want it system wide and yes, I want it to pop up between KDM and KDE, though, I set the system to login automatically.
Hi again,
So you want your program to be loaded INSTEAD OF normal things of KDE, as the ¿!¿plasma-desktop?!?
plasma-desktop is the program that shows the bottom bar, manages the KDE background and some other things. You can configure it so there is no bottom bar, or you can delete it completely (I think it's not what you really want).
If what you want is just to change the KDE loader (how it looks while it is being loaded), you can do so from KDE System Settings => Workspace Appearance => Splash Screen.
Maybe if you give more information about what your program is for and what you want it to do, I could help you better.
