I'd expect the RPM you used to install java to set those up for
you; what are you doing to install java, how are you doing it?

By default Java installs to the /usr/lib/jdk

to set a path you can add a path variable in your .bashrc file.

JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jdk/java
export PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH
