How to set DNS servers? How to stop auto change of DNS servers?
Ubuntu 8.04
When I first log in as a user, there is no problem connecting to the internet. Then, after a short while, some type of auto-configuration change happens, and the DNS nameserver is changed to a .1.1, and I can not connect anymore. Then, I have to go to the Network Tools, using the administrator password, and manually type in the two DNS servers. 1) How can I keep it from trying to automatically change the DNS servers while I am on the internet? 2) What is the command line way to set the DNS servers? The Network Tools is a GUI run tool. 3) Why is it automatically trying to change the DNS servers? |
