How to send parameters automatically?

Hey Guys,

I am trying to install a .bin executable software in linux.

In manual install it asks if i want to unzip the file and then goes through a bunch of questions where i select the primary ip, location and install the software in linux rhel box.

Now I want to write a script where I can automatically pass these answers when the questions are asked. How can I do that please.

There is no info on the software if i can do that.

Please advise.
Thank you

You've been using Linux for eight years now...have you not written any scripts at all? Using expect would come to mind, since it's written just for cases like this, to simulate user input. There are many examples you can find with a brief search, both on Google and on this site.

And since you don't say what version of RHEL, or what this software is, there's not alot we can help with as far as options go. It could be you could extract the software to a directory, and bypass a bunch of the scripting.
