Hi...

It's very important to mention the distribution and version you're using when posting for help. Please see here.

As mentioned here, installing "htop" should allow you to view separate cores or CPU's.

If you're using Ubuntu or any of it's derivatives, you can install it using...

No need for htop, top can do it simply. All covered in the manpage and in-program help, although the latter is a little terse.

Open a terminal and type top. Press the number 1 on your keyboard. On the top of the screen, you will see Cpu0, Cpu1, Cpu2, etc....

The number 1 toggles it on and off.

Type the ? character on your keyboard to see more options to top.
