How to run wireless internet on laptops, Running Linux on VMware ete.
Hello all Linux new users.. Most ppl wonder how to run Linux on laptops with wireless cards. i have one solution for that. you wont install any driver and your net will work. here's the trick:
1) Install Linux on VMware inside your existing Vista or XP or whatever.
2) Configure yor Linux to obtain IP from your DHCP.
3) run command service network restart
4) And thats it, you are done.
wow wow hey folks out there dnt know how to work with VMware Virtual Machines?

Does this work if I'm running Linux from a Live CD or only if my distro is installed on the HDD? Or does it not matter?

Actually i did'nt check it on live CDs but if u can run internet on live CDs, then u can run it on live CD on VM as well. though i dont have experience of live CDs but i am sure it will work.

Are you talking about what I said, or about what the OP said,
if you are talking about what the OP said, you run a linux distro in a virtual machine, meaning you have to run it in VMware player or in a different virtual machine
