Dear Sir

i want to know weather there is any option to run autodesk 3ds max and autodesk maya software on linux operating system and if yes which version will support this software ..

please reply has soon has possible

if you need windows programs try WINE, it is an open source implimentation of the Windows api for linux that allows many windows programs to be run under linux

If there is no version for Linux available then you might consider using them under Wine. Look into Wine site to see if the softwares would run in wine or not.
Or else you could find out Linux equivalent for those.

Those programs don't seem to work in Wine (check the AppDB for lists of apps working in Wine). Blender is a great alternative, though: http://www.blender.org/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blender_(software)

Worst case, you could run your software in a virtual machine (VirtualBox, VMware, Qemu/KVM).

There's a Linux version of Maya.

I believe of the high end 3d pro software.Maya,Xsi,and Houdini have Linux versions.
