how to run exe files like"VLC"in ubuntu while it's installed in windows
 
i wud like to know how to run exe files like"VLC"in ubuntu while it's installed in windows..i have installed ubuntu in windows..vlc application is installed in windows..but i want to use this application in ubuntu too.
help me for this.

A .exe files are for Windows only. So if you want VLC on Ubuntu, you'll have to install it the Linux version. You can find & install it easily using Synaptics.

Although it's possible to use WINE to run Windows applications on Linux, it's not a good solution since there is a native version of VLC available.

and on a dual boot DO NOT SET THE WINE default directory as your Windows Drive

it can mess up the windows regestery if you do that


Install the Linux version of VLC
