How to rsync to clone two machines

Hi,

I have two computers computerA and computerB. ComputerA has all the data, files, website information and more...

My question is that I would like to make computerB to be the exact replica of computerA. Basically, would like to replace the computerA with computerB. when i googled i found Rsync would be helpful. Can anyone help on this?

Thanks in advance.

You may find it easier to use clonezilla to clone the machine you wish to install on machineB

Here is the link: http://clonezilla.sourceforge.net/

When you say replace, do you mean permanently? If so a simple image then restore would be more than enough. See gparted for that.

Rsync would be alright for this but so would tarring then restoring on new machine.

I guess it all comes down to if this is permanent or not.

hth

edit: not gparted but clonezilla as thorn168 posted. gparted is like partition magic if you are familiar with that,
