Unhappy How to return to text mode from x Windows

I am using redhat linux 8 and don't know how to return to text mode (like restart in Ms-Dos mode in Windows).
Anyone can help me?

just do ctrl + alt + f1 and it will take you into text mode. Now, if you wanna exit x windows completely and only run text mode than do the above step and login as root and type:
init 3

to go back into x: startx

Also, if you boot to runlevel 3, you can use Ctrl+Alt+Backspace to shutdown X and go back to text.
