How to reposition or do away with anouncements in Amorok

I could use other media players but right now it's the only one I know of that can access my Windows library. But Amorok has one big problem. It creates a nuisance when it announces each song. It puts that announcement right in the middle of the screen. I don't mind the announcements, in fact I kind of like them. But I'd rather have no announcement than have it displayed in the middle of the screen.

Does anybody know if and how the announcement can be repositioned or turned off?

I have FC-5 and use KDE.

Thanks,

royeo

It should be rather easy to turn off On Screen Display. I'm not on a linux computer at the moment so I can't get you the correct Menu option. But it should be something along the lines of: Tools -> Configure amaroK. Then there should be a tab for OSD. I believe you can disable it there. If that is incorrect it should be in those settings tabs somewhere. Hope this helps.

Thank you. I had looked at that but it was before I had noticed the announcements and I didn't know the significance of what could be done there. It was a very easy fix.

Thanks again,
