how to remove software if you compiled from src?
hihi, so far i've learned the basic about installing software from src...
download, uncompress, ./configure, make, make install, if missing other libraries, google, search, go back and do the ./configure again...etc what about deleting 'em to save spaces!? since there's no setup.exe button, therefore it must not have a uninstall.exe button right?:P please show me how, thank you :newbie: |
checkinstall can help, it like the uninstall wizard in windows but command based, no gui.
but if you want to uninstall it without checkinstall, you can read the readme and see if there is a command to uninstall it. or you can install it again but do make test, and copy each file location and delete each file manually. checkinstall is this http://asic-linux.com.mx/~izto/checkinstall/index.php |
