how to remove packages
hi
how would i remove packages that came installed with mandrake?

Just go to the option in the menu to remove packages.

now how can i find the directory where all the packages are?
i know in slackware i cd to /var/log/packages/ but in mandrake its not there

Look in /var/cache/urpmi or mabye /usr/src/RPM not sure though, i think that urpm* may delete the rpms after install

hrmm.... i went to all those dirs and all the sub dirs but i still cannot find where the php thing is installed
any suggestions?
