Either you could reformat the partition and reinstall Vista so it can write to the Master Boot Record, or I would think that the Vista Installation DVD has a recovery thing on it. Boot that DVD up and look for a recovery console. Not sure what the command is to type for the Vista recovery console but I think on the XP recovery console, it was
fixmbr
Look it up on google.com
But yeah basically, grub is on your MBR, you need Vista to overwrite the MBR so that it can boot up to Vista and not try to boot up to linux. Also, not sure if a recovery console from a XP DVD would work for Vista. Also, if you reinstalled Vista, do you remember if it asked you if u wanted it to write to the MBR, if so, you should've said yes.
