How to remove grub from Vista ?
 
Everybody Please,

I installed Fedora 6 in my HP Laptop with MSWindow Vista Home Premium Edition (coming inbuilt) machine. For some inconviences I tried to remove FC6. After removing FC6 the boot loader grub is there. Now I canot load Vista, as prompt for grub> come before . Now how can I remive "grub" from my machine. I have Vista recovery disc only. Please help?

You should be able to edit the grub menu file with a liveCD to include Vista, then just use that. I'm not sure how to completely uninstall it with Vista though...(I don't like Vista)

I don't know how things are done with Vista, but try booting that recovery disk and try running a recovery:

If you manage to get to some command-prompt to run the recoveries try: fixmbr (fix master boot record), that used to be the trick with Win XP, else try snborah's idea, it should work.

Don't know what you did to "remove" FC6 but if the grub menu was in /boot/grub in FC6.
From the grub prompt you can probably do:

grub> rootnoverify (hd0,0)
grub> makeactive
grub> chainloader +1
grub> boot

(if Windows is on the first primary partition.)
You are going to need to run "fixmbr" from the install CD or Windows to get rid of grub.
