Smile How to refresh repositories?

In ubuntu it is very easy to do, it won't refresh by itself, you need to click the refresh button in Synaptic Package Manager.

In Fedora and Mageia, how do you do it?

I don't have Ubuntu, so I'm not sure exactly what you want, but it sounds to me you mean how to check for updates..
For Fedora at cli
Code:
yum update

Ubuntu actually checks on its own every 6 hours or so.

In Ubuntu, you can choose different Servers for your repositories,
in Fedora, how to do that?
Is there a Global Main Server?
