how to receive mail in evolution email by using sendmails configuration

I would like to know what am i doing wrong as i have sendmail working perfectly as i can send and receive mail in webadmin, but i would like my clients to use evolution email sytem to receve and send mail , when i try to set it up. I always receive an error such as the passord i have suplied to the server is wrong. But the passord is the excat paasord like the account i am stting up where is this password the mail server is asking from?

It can contact the server but it always says the passord to access the acount is wrong.

Can someone shine some light on this matter please
