How to put applets in the system tray.

I accidentially moved the klipper applet out of the tray and I can't for the life of me find how to put it back. Anyone help?

Right click on the system tray and add > applet > whatever. If you totally removed the system tray then IIRC there is another submenu when you right click on the taskbar that adds the system tray back in (I switched to Fluxbox so my memory is imperfect).

Yeah, that was one of my first moves, but it automatically places it outside the tray.

I don't know about any other distro's but on my redhat 9 box the Klipper applet has always been on the outside of the system tray it never did reside in it.

i met the same thing too. Even adding it again to the panel,it still seems like appear in a new systray and never get back to the previous 1 again

Here's how to do it...

It took me a bit to figure it out, but apparently it's easy (but requires starting klipper a certin way)...

What you need to do is type this command line:
ksystraycmd klipper

You can put other things in the systray this way too if you really want to.
